What is COFCAWE?
With an illustrious mission to empower families and communities to improve the quality of life of vulnerable children and women, Concern for children and women empowerment (COFCAWE) a non governmental organization was founded. It was duly registered with the ministry of internal affairs and with the NGO Board under the 1989 NGO statute.
Mission
To facilitate empowerment of families and communities for improved quality of life of children, women and men by promoting participation, dialogue and solidarity using the psychosocial approach.

Harmonious and healthy families.
Goals
- Improved sexual reproductive health among children aged 8 to 14 years in Hoima, Tororo and Wakiso districts by 2015
- Domestic violence reduced among families in Hoima, Tororo and Wakiso districts by 2020
- Improved child protection in the communities of Hoima, Tororo and Wakiso districts by 2020
- Reduced HIV infection in Hoima, Tororo and Wakiso districts by 2020
